Choir Enrolment
If your child would like to join choir, just open the "Choir Enrolment" document in this folder, fill out and return by email to aelli119@eq.edu.au. As soon as you've received an email back from Amy Ellis, you're enrolled! At their first rehearsal, your child will receive a black hardcover music folder to keep. This can be used for any music group that your child chooses to join at BayView (they only need one folder).
Strings Enrolment
If your child would like to join the strings program in 2023 (violin, viola, cello, double bass), fill out the "Expression of Interest" form at any time! Email it back to Julie Schmidt jech4@eq.edu.au and we'll process your form to ensure that your child is included in the next recruitment round, which generally occurs in Term 3 or Term 4. In the meantime, have a read of the "Instrument Handbook" or take a listen to past performances under the "Strings" tab to get a feel for what it's like to join the strings program.
If your child is new to BayView and has previously participated in a strings program, send an email to jesch4@eq.edu.au, or come on down to the Creative Arts block on Wednesdays to meet our strings teacher Miss Julie Schmidt.

If your child would like to join the band program in 2023 (flute, clarinet, bass clarinet, alto saxophone, tenor saxophone, trumpet, trombone, baritone, euphonium, tuba, bass guitar, percussion), fill out the "Expression of Interest" form at any time! Email it back to jech4@eq.edu.au and we'll process your form to ensure that your child is included in the next recruitment round, which generally occurs in Term 3 or Term 4.
A good band is a balanced band, so we'll offer instruments based on what's available, including the positions available for each. But don't despair! The children almost always love the instruments that they start. In the meantime, have a read of the "Instrument Handbook" or view our past performances to get a feel for what it's like to join the band program.
