Online Safety and Responsible Internet Use
At our school, we take the safety and well-being of our students seriously, both in the classroom and online. While web filtering is used to help prevent students from accessing potentially harmful websites, we encourage students to be vigilant and responsible when using technology. If a student believes they have encountered a virus, received an inappropriate message, or come across content that makes them feel uncomfortable, they should inform a teacher, parent, or caregiver as soon as possible.
Guidelines for Responsible Online Behaviour
To ensure a positive and respectful online environment, students are reminded that they must never send, post, or publish the following content:
- Inappropriate or unlawful content that is offensive, abusive, or discriminatory
- Threats, bullying, or harassment directed at others
- Sexually explicit or sexually suggestive content or correspondence
- False or defamatory information about individuals or organizations
- Personal information, such as full name, school, address, or phone number
Our Commitment to Safety
We are committed to fostering a safe, respectful, and supportive digital environment where students can thrive. If you ever feel unsure about something you encounter online, remember that help is always available. Don't hesitate to speak to a trusted teacher, parent, or caregiver for guidance and support.
